Heartland is a Canadian television series that was first telecasted in 2007. It was created by Lauren Brooke with the novel “Coming Home”. The series is centered around a girl named Amy Fleming.
The character Amy Fleming is played by Michelle Morgan. Amy Fleming lives on a horse ranch called Heartland, and is located in Virginia. In this ranch, she, her friends, and family attend to abused or mistreated horses. Their healing methods are more psychological than traditional. Amy Fleming has a sister named Samantha Louise “Lou” Fleming-Trewin, whom she looks up to.
Born to Tim Fleming and Marion Fleming, Lou is the oldest daughter of the family, while Amy is the youngest. Lou is 23 years old and was brave enough to come home to carry on the family business after the death of her mother. In the pilot episode of the series, Amy was portrayed as a 15-year-old girl. The difference therefore between these two characters on heartland is 8 years.
