Roberto Clemente had three children, sons Roberto Clemente Jr, Roberto Enrique Clemente and Luis Roberto Clemente.
After his demise, many Roberto Clemente fans wanted to see his sons carry on the legacy, but for good or bad, they chose to live a life away from the baseball pitch.
1. Roberto Clemente Jr
Roberto Clemente Jr, the oldest son of the baseball legend, is a baseball broadcaster. Clement Jr did play baseball briefly in the minor league but dropped the sport early on in his career.
After his father passed away in a plane crash, Roberto Jr took up the role of being the spokesperson for the family. He became the youngest speaker in the history of Congress when he shared his father’s dream of a Sports City.
Clemente Jr is married to his wife Kailee, and the couple has a son named Roberto Clemente III.
2. Luis Roberto Clemente
Like his elder brother Roberto Clemente Jr, Luis Roberto Clemente had a brief stint in a minor baseball league.
Born on July 13, 1966, Roberto established the Clemente Legacy Program, which has a plan to support extraordinary students’ future endeavors.
Luis is committed to keeping his father’s dream alive and preserving his legacy.
3. Roberto Enrique Clemente
Roberto Enrique Clemente, the youngest of the Clemente brothers, didn’t even try his hands on baseball.
When his father passed away, he was a toddler, and during high school, it was said that he was interested in mechanics.
Pirates fans badly wanted to at least see one of Roberto Clemente’s sons play for them. But all three sons had different endeavors in their lives.
