Michelle Hayes died on February 16, just 48 hours after a covid test revealed she was covid positive. She is a 46-year-old teacher at Bowral Public School in Southern Highlands. Her husband, Mr Ben Hayes, confirmed the death of his beloved wife on Wednesday in a Facebook post. He wrote, “It is with such a broken heart that I’m letting you all know that Michelle passed away this morning after testing positive to Covid on Monday.” Mrs Hayes is the mother of two children, and for this, he said, “The best part of me is gone. Now I have to b the dad and the mum, and I will never come close to being anywhere near as fabulous as she was.” “My heart is with her family, beginning with her forever-smitten husband Ben and two wonderful children, Harry and Matilda. Her love for them was boundless and clear,” he said.
Support and love can’t fill this loss:
“Please don’t call yet… I can’t cry anymore. I’ve never known such limitless sorrow,” Mr Hayes said. As he and his two children are isolated, he can’t see anybody. The post by his husband attracts so much lovely one cover with numbers of comments and support to the family and the lovely teacher. ‘For those who think that Covid isn’t that dangerous – try losing the love of your life in under 48 hours from the positive test result,’ he said.
The reason behind school refused to talk about her sudden death:
Because she died abruptly due to covid and her death is too delicate, the school declined to inform students about their teacher. After the rate of death cases or covid cases in their city dropped to a minimum, she taught kids in the classroom. In a letter to parents published in the Bowral Public School newsletter, Principal Chris Beard stated that kids did not inform of Mrs. Hayes’ death due to “strict standards.” Ms. Beard further claims that his issue is too delicate for parents to handle and not inform pupils. “Due to the confidentiality and sensitivity of this matter, we felt a note for students to take home would not be appropriate,” she said. On Sunday, the NSW government stated that pupils will no longer be required to take quick antigen testing twice a week but that families will be given eight kits for “peace of mind.”
