Charles Koppelman, an American musician, music producer, and businessman who held executive positions at EMI and Steve Madden, and was Chairman of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia has died. Koppelman was born on March 30, 1940 and died November 25, 2022. He was 82 years.

At time of death, he was the CEO of CAK Entertainment. A cause of death was not given.

However, according to Page Six, Koppelman died after a long illness and spent his last days surrounded by friends and family.

His death was announced by his son and Billions co-creator Brian Koppelman on social media, who wrote:

“I’ll write more about my dad, Charles Koppelman, when I can. But the only thing that matters is how much I loved him. And how much he taught me about every single thing that matters.”

“He lived exactly the life he wanted to live. And he spent his last days surrounded by those he loved the most. Pop, thank you.”

Koppelman is survived by his wife Gerri Kyhill Koppelman, children: Jennifer Hutt, Stacy Koppelman Fritz, Brian Koppelman and grandchildren: Raquel Hutt, Jacob Hutt.
