Chris Viehbacher is a renowned German-Canadian businessman.

He served as the Chief Executive Officer of Sanofi and Chairman of Genzyme until 29 October 2014.

After his departure from Sanofi, he worked with Gurnet Point Capital, a healthcare venture capital and private equity fund backed by Ernesto Bertarelli and his family.

Chris was born on March 26, 1960. He has not yet spoken about his parents. However, according to reports, his parents were immigrants.

On Nov. 10, 2022, Chris was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of Biogen Inc. (NASDAQ: BIIB).
