His appearance in the final episode of Season 1 as he joined the new Cobra Kai Dojo delighted viewers. Kove didn’t miss a beat as he stepped into John Kreese’s shoes.

The return of John Kreese set up a strong Season 2 plot, as Johnny reconnected with his old mentor. Martin Kove was initially hesitant to take on the role of his legendary character from The Karate Kid films.
