Demon Slayer’ Season 3 has been confirmed. The makers released a trailer for Season 3 named ‘Swordsmith Village Arc,’ introducing two important characters.
The 11th episode of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, also known as Entertainment District Arc, concluded Season 2 on Sunday, after the hard combat with the Upper-Rank Demons Six. Ufotable, the studio behind the popular anime, released a brief teaser announcing season 3 and introducing two new characters for the forthcoming season shortly after the season 2 finale aired. Swordsmith Village Arc is the title of Demon Slayer’ Season 3.
Following the Season 2 finale of Demon Slayer, in which viewers saw the terrible backstories of Upper Six demons Gyutaro and Daki, as well as Tengen Uzui’s retirement, a new teaser has been published, showing that the Swordsmith Village Arc for Season 3 is presently in production.
The new arc revolves around Mist Hashira, Muichiro Tokito, and Love Hashira, Mitsuri Kanroji, both of the Demon Slayer Corps, based on the visuals presented in the teaser. The appearance of Doma, the rainbow-eyed Upper 6 monster, is hinted at in scenes from the Entertainment District Arc finale.
While Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba) Seasons 1 and 2 were delayed by more than two years, the Mugen Train movie was released in the meantime, and COVID-19-related issues impacted the release dates. Fans anticipate a Season 3 premiere late this year or early next year, despite the lack of an official date.
The two main characters from the upcoming season, love Hashira Mitsuki Kanroji and the mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito, were also introduced in the short teaser. Kamado Tanjiro will team up with the two Hashiras in the new season to try and find a replacement for his sword, which is continuously in need of maintenance. He then sets off on a mission to find the town’s hidden weapon, which is the source of its power.
The Demon Slayer anime is based on the manga series by Koyoharu Gotouge, which was written and illustrated by him. After his family is murdered and his little sister Nezuko is turned into a demon, Tanjiro Kamado sets out to become a demon slayer. The manga and its anime adaptation have both garnered positive reviews. The anime series has won multiple awards and is widely regarded as one of the best anime series of the decade.
From April to September 2019, a 26-episode anime television series adaption produced by Ufotable aired in Japan. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train, a sequel film, was released in October 2020 and became the highest-grossing anime and Japanese film of all time.
