American rapper, Diddy has sued his former cloth brand Sean John after partying ways with the company in 2016.
The legendary Hip Hop rapper is said to have filed suit against the brand and its new owner GBC USA on Thursday over a new partnership Sean John inked with Missguided fashion brand.
Sean John is being dragged for a $25million suit for illegally using Diddy’s image and persona without his permission while advertising their fresh women line with Missguided.
Diddy’s lawyer, Jonathan D Davis indicated in the suit that the fashion branch even used certain quotes supposedly made by Diddy which he never made those claims.
The suit reads, “[Diddy] does not challenge [Sean John/GBG’s] right to use the Sean John trademark, but rather [Sean John/GBG’s] decision to leverage a fabricated quote they created and then falsely attributed to Mr. Combs, and to use Mr. Combs’s name and other monikers to create the false and misleading impression that Mr. Combs is the decision-maker behind the designs and creation of the GBG Collection,”
