Larry Lacewell has a net worth of $6 million dollars. He began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at the University of Alabama under Bear Bryant. Before becoming the defensive coordinator at Oklahoma in 1969, he coached at Arkansas State, Arkansas A&M, Kilgore Junior College, Oklahoma, Wichita State, and Iowa State. Lacewell joined Barry Switzer’s staff as an assistant head coach in 1973, and the teams went on to win six Big Eight crowns and two national championships in the following years.
From 1978 through 1989, he was the athletic director and head coach at Arkansas State University. He went 69-48-4 in his career, winning two Southland Conference crowns and being voted Coach of the Year in the league three times. Larry has led the program to four NCAA Division I-AA playoff appearances in a row, with the 1986 squad reaching the title game before falling to Georgia Southern. He retired as the school’s all-time winningest coach.

Under Johnny Majors, he became the Tennessee Volunteers’ defensive coordinator in 1990. Lacewell was instrumental in the team’s victory over the University of Virginia in the SEC Championship and Sugar Bowl. In 1991, the team was invited to the Fiesta Bowl after finishing second in the SEC.
