Nathan was elected to the Clovis City Council in 2001.
Magsig was elected to the Fresno County Board of Supervisors for the first time in 2016.

Clovis, southeast Fresno, Sanger, Auberry, and the foothill settlements of Huntington Lake, Shaver Lake, Hume Lake, and Pine Flat are all part of District 5, which he represents.
Magsig has worked as a youth pastor and was a legislative aide in the California Legislature. He was also an Executive Director of a nonprofit affordable housing developer. He was Energy Director for the Fresno Economic Opportunities Commission and served on the Fresno County Board of Supervisors and Clovis City Council.
