A 27-year-old man got detained for assaulting a 10-year-old girl on Tuesday. The Columbus Dispatch witnessed his sentencing in Columbus on Wednesday, which broke the news of his arrest.
The unidentified minor reportedly traveled to Indiana to have an abortion after Ohio banned the procedure last month, which sparked a discussion about abortion rights.
According to theColumbus Dispatch, Fuentes confessed to engaging in at least two inappropriate encounters with the ten-year-old child. When a DNA sample was collected, he confessed.

After the Indianapolis Star reported that a doctor said that a minor rape victim had been forced to fly from Columbus to Indiana for an abortion, the situation of the unidentified girl attracted widespread attention.
According to the reports, the 10-year-old victim was conceived and underwent an abortion in Indianapolis, according to testimony given in court on Wednesday by a Columbus Police detective named Jeffrey Huhn.
Franklin County Municipal Court documents have verified the victim’s age.
It is yet to uncover how the suspect was linked to the victim. In response to the Associated Press’ request for information on the case, the prosecutor’s office refused, and the law enforcement did not provide any specific data.
