Gideon Mung’aro belonged to the CORD coalition under the “Orange Democratic Movement” center-left political party.
The Orange Democratic Movement” separated the Orange Democratic Organization Party of Kenya and the Wiper Democratic Movement – Kenya in August 2007.
President Mwai Kibaki then disbanded the entire cabinet after 58.12% of Kenyans voted against the proposed constitution in the 2005 constitutional referendum.
The ODM’s response was to declare that this was a positive development saying that the Kibaki cabinet had lost its mandate because it had campaigned for a “yes” vote in the referendum.
