A disappointed user of Twitter took the social media platform to share the sign: “From a pal that works at Home Depot, this is the kind of crap on display in the lunchroom.” Twitter users had many things to say in response to pictures of the document, with some branding the move of the retailer as “woke”. One person stated that “Stop giving these large, “woke” firms your time and money. Discover a local hardware store, bank, restaurant, butcher, farmer…and pay in cash.”

Controversial Canadian psychologist Jordan Peterson also got engaged. Not only this but it was also reposted by a Twitter account called @libsoftiktok where it got over 20,000 likes. Some users partially took the issue with the checklist, anxious it is “encouraging” se*ism and racism.
They stated that “It is clearly putting it in the minds of the people that if they ate of a certain race, se*uality or other groups that Home Depot explains as “privileged” that they require to feel worse about themselves.”
