Darius Slayton, a wide receiver with the National Football League’s New York Giants, was born on January 12, 1997. In the fifth round of the 2019 NFL Draft, the Giants selected him from Auburn, where he played college football.
Greater Atlanta Christian School was Slayton’s high school, where he also participated in football. Slayton attended Auburn University, where he played collegiate football. He took a redshirt in 2015 and played a part from 2016 to 2018.
Daniel Jones, a fellow 2019 NFL draft pick, provided Slayton with three receptions for 82 yards in his debut NFL game, a 32-31 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 3. He scored a 35-yard touchdown against the Minnesota Vikings in his third game, a 28-10 loss.

Slayton caught two catches for a total of 50 yards and two touchdowns in Week 8’s 31-26 loss to the Detroit Lions. Slayton had 10 receptions for 121 receiving yards and two touchdowns in Week 10’s game against the New York Jets, which the Giants lost 27-34.
Slayton ended the Week 14 Monday Night Football game against the Philadelphia Eagles with five receptions, all in the first half, for 154 receiving yards, two touchdowns, and a loss of 17-23 in overtime. Slayton led the Giants in receiving yards for the 2019 season with 48 receptions, 740 receiving yards, and eight receiving touchdowns overall in his rookie campaign.
