Casper Ruud, 23, is a Norwegian professional tennis player. On Sunday at the US Open, Ruud overcame a mid-match setback to defeat French lucky loser Corentin Moutet and advance to the quarterfinals for the first time in New York.
The tennis star Rudd climbed three spots to No. 4 in the Pepperstone ATP Live Rankings during the competition. Following this, he will surpass Daniil Medvedev and Alexander Zverev to become No. 2 in the live rankings if he defeats Matteo Berrettini and advances to the semi-finals. At the end of the year’s last Grand Slam, he is still in contention to reach No. 1.
Currently, Casper is the highest-ranked tennis player in Norway, according to his career-high singles rating of No. 5, achieved on June 13, 2022. He has won nine ATP Tour singles titles, eight of which were on clay courts.
