The name of the actress, as well as comedian Tina Fey, is a musician named Jeff Richmond. Two years after Fey attended Chicago’s Second City improvisational theatre group, in 1994, she started dating Jeff, a pianist.
He ultimately rose to the position of musical director for Second City and then worked as a composer for the sitcom 30 Rock. On June 3, 2001, they were wed in a Greek Orthodox ceremony. Penelope Athena and Alice Zenobia are their daughters.
Fey and Richmond spent US$3.4 million on an Upper West Side apartment in New York City in April 2009. As a result, she has a few inches long scar on the left side of her chin and cheek.
In a 2009 Vanity Fair profile by Maureen Dowd and later in her autobiographical book, she disclosed that during the spring semester of kindergarten, she was slashed in the face by a stranger in the alley behind her house. The reason for the scar was unknown to the public before that.
On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in 2020, Fey admitted that she had phoned the police to assist a man who was reportedly floating in a kayak without an oar on the Hudson River, thereby saving her life.
