Mathew Mindler who was a first-year student of Millersville University was reported missing late Wednesday evening by the university authorities when he did not return to his dormitory after leaving the day before. The former actor was last seen on Tuesday leaving his dormitory hooded in the university’s hoodie and carrying a backpack.
By Thursday a search party was organized to find the missing student. National news outlets carried the news too with the hope that the 19-year-old would turn up somehow. It appears the search was both successful and unsuccessful, as Mathew was found, but was found dead.
The university authorities broke this news to the students in an email, “it is with a grieving heart that I let you know of the death of 19-year-old Mathew Mindler from Hellertown, Pennysylvania, a first-year student at Millersville University. A search had been underway since Thursday after he was reported missing. Mathew was found dead this morning, Saturday, August 28th, in Manor township near campus.”
The cause of Mathew’s death hasn’t been disclosed yet, but we hope he rests in peace. The former child star starred in the 2016 movie Chad: An American Boy and Our Idiot Brother before that.
