Michael Thomas Baumann was born September 10, 1995, in Mahtomedi, Minnesota, United States. Not much is known about his parents a ds family background. He was raised alongside his older brother, Nick who also played baseball and football at Mahtomedi.
Mike Baumann attended Mahtomedi High School in Mahtomedi, Minnesota, and played for the school’s baseball and American football teams. He was selected by the Minnesota Twins selected him in the 34th round of the 2014 MLB draft but did not sign.
