According to the Telegraph, Following a complaint about an incident in June of this year, a man in his late twenties was arrested in the early hours of Monday morning. The unnamed soccer player was apprehended at an address in Barnet, north London, and police are still investigating the incident.
The Met Police has published a statement that reads: “On 4 July, an allegation of rape of a woman in her 20s was reported to the police. It was reported the alleged rape happened in June 2022. The player, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is described as “internationally renowned”. The player is being questioned over the matter by his club.
Also, Tottenham’s midfielder Yves Bissouma was also recently cleared after a sexual assault allegation.
