In the early 2000’s, Roman Avdeev bought the retail network, Capital which he sold in 2003 with another good price. In 2008, he became the chairman of the Moscow Credit Bank. In 2012, 15% of the bank was bought for $190 million by the World Bank’s International Finance Corporation and the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development. Such move had successfully evened out the financial crisis in the last four years and the bank’s assets have grown more than four times, to $9 billion.
