The Weekend is releasing a new single on Friday.
On Monday evening, the artist disclosed the new song, “Take My Breath,” with an Olympic ad for Team USA Women’s Track & Field team. The Weekend released the short video on Twitter, and it features Gabby Thomas, Sydney McLaughlin, Dalilah Muhammad and Athing M, together with the caption “8.6.21 new single.”
The song comes after the Weekend first gave us a short snippet of “The Dawn Is Coming” on his social media accounts. Initially, the video was only an instrumental with just the Weekend’s vocals until “Take my breath” sounds at the very end.
