In February 2022, the US National Archives discovered classified documents at the Mar-a-Lago. They had referred the incident to the US Justice Department. Specifically, inUS Law, it is a crime if someone who has custody of government documents conceals, removes, mutilates, or destroys them.
Trump Says The FBI Broke Raided Mar A Lago & Broke His Safe
The ex-president, who was in the Trump Tower, confirmed that agents were at his property. He said: ‘They even broke into my safe.’
Trump released a statement: ‘My beautiful home, Mar-A-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, is now under sieged, raided, and occupied by a large gathering of Federal agents.’ Thus, Trump has called the search an “assault” and “was not necessary or appropriate.”
In his message, the former president said that Democrats who “desperately” do not want him to run for reelection in 2024 supported the FBI action.
In the meantime, the crowds of Trump supporters have begun arriving at Mar-a-Lago. They are holding flags in front of the entrance after he said the FBI raided his Florida home.

The property was opulent even in those old days. It was constructed as a winter estate for cereal heiress Marjorie Merriweather Post during Florida’s land boom in the 1920s. Its name ‘Mar-a-Lago’ implies “sea-to-lake” in Spanish, referring to the fact that the resort spans Palm Beach, from the immense Atlantic Ocean to the Intracoastal Waterway.
