Colin Pitchfork is a double child murderer and rapist. He made history when he was convicted of the murder of two 15-year-olds due to DNA evidence. The victims were Lynda Mann and Dawn Ashworth.
Both incidents happened in Leicestershire in 1983 and 1986. He admitted to committing two murders, two rapes, and indecent assaults. He was therefore sentenced to life imprisonment for his crime. However, Colin Pitchfork is set to be released on parole. At the time of the murder, Pitchfork was married for two years with his wife, Carole. She is however now his ex-wife.
According to Carole, she has not spoken out in 33 years because her words would be glorified. And she is not ready to change her mind. According to her, it would serve no purpose. It seemed her life was no longer the same after her husband committed those murders. Her grown-up sons never talk about their dads and would never agree to be interviewed. She described her ex-husband as a monster.
