A 46-year-old man,Berlin Jose Melgara, was initially arrested concerning Misael Sanchez’s assault.
Arnett, Oxnard police Cmdr. estimated that between 100 and 200 people, both players and fans, attended the game. According to the police department, the adult soccer league is privately organized and not supported by the city or school district.
Detectives are looking for witnesses and anyone with video of the brawl at Oxnard High School. Police Department also set up a portal where anyone can upload a video of the incident anonymously.
