José Dáz-Balart will now be the presenter of MSNBC as he switches roles from Telemundo. As he takes over MSNBC’s 10 am slot, Ayman Mohyeldin will receive a weekend primetime program while Hallie Jackson will move to the 3 pm hour.

Jose, a journalist and television anchorman, is of Cuban and American descent. He no longer anchored the nightly editions of Noticias Telemundo as of September 7, 2021.

He is now hosting a brand-new 10 am show on MSNBC called José Dáz-Balart Reports. He often fills in for the weekday and Sunday broadcasts while continuing to host NBC Nightly News on Saturday.

MSNBC: Where Is Jose Diaz Balart?

José Díaz-Balart currently resides in the United States and plans to return to Cable Channel as MSNBC changes the dayside schedule.

The renowned Latino journalist will anchor his own weekday MSNBC program, José Dáz-Balart Reports, from Miami. The program will debut on September 27 and will air on weekdays at 10 am. ET.

Daz-Balart will stop hosting Noticias Telemundo, Telemundo’s nightly weekday program, at the end of the month while he will still be the presenter of NBC Nightly News Saturday.

The American journalist will instead host monthly features, special reporting for Noticias Telemundo, and unique coverage for several platforms, including Peacock.

He will be the only anchor to present national news shows in both English and Spanish on cable and broadcast tv thanks to his news position, as per the report mentioned byNBC News.

In a recent MSNBC press statement, Dáz-Balart said he is honored to host MSNBC’s 10 am hour, where he reports on topics important to all American communities.

What Happened To The Journalist Jose Diaz-Balart?

Jose Diaz-Balart leaves his position at Telemundo to join MSNBC’s weekday schedule. He is doing just fine and is happy with his role.

The multi-award-winning news presenter is leaving his position as a nightly newscaster at Telemundo Network after 20 years of leading numerous programs there.

He is currently concentrating on a wider position with the Spanish Network as he prepares to add anchoring tasks at the 10 am slot at MSNBC while remaining to anchor Weekend Nightly News on Saturdays.

After 12 years with “Noticias Telemundo,” Diaz-Balart walked out during the 630 p.m. broadcast on Friday (9/24) but will still host and cover the network’s monthly specials and breaking media stories.

Jose and his spouse have traveled extensively, as shown by his Instagram. The newscaster was spotted traveling with his family to Las Vegas, Vienna, Greece, and Spain.

Additionally, Balart’s aunt Mirta Diaz-Balart married well-known Cuban politician Fidel Castro, making the politician and the celebrity spouse an uncle and niece.
