LaFlamme, a longtime CTV News anchor, was surprised when Bell Media fired her. She broke her silence after Bell Media fired her, saying she was taken aback and shocked by the “business decision” to terminate her contract after 35 years.

In a video posted on Twitter, the Canadian news anchor claims that Bell Media, the parent company of CTV News, informed her on June 29 that her contract would not be renewed and that the media outlet was going “in a different direction.”

The journalist said, “I was taken aback, and I am still shocked and saddened by Bell Media’s decision. I was also asked to keep this a secret from my colleagues and the general public until the specifics of my departure could be worked out.”

Lisa’s profession could have provided her with a substantial income. Her salary, however, is under review, but it is estimated to be between $300,000 and $350,000 per year. Lisa’s net worth is $1 million as of 2022.

The journalist began her career as a copywriter and script assistant at CTV’s Kitchener affiliate CKCO in 1988 when she was 24. Later, in 1997, she became an anchor and worked as a parliamentary reporter for Canada AM and CTV NEWSNET.

Later. she joined CTV National News in 2003 as a foreign correspondent and replacement anchor for Lloyd Robertson. She has covered many international events, including September 11, the Afghan War, Hurricane Katrina, the Haiti Earthquake, and Pope John Paul’s death.

Laflamme has also covered federal elections since 1997, the Summer Olympics in Beijing in 2008, and the Summer Olympics in London in 2012. She has also included Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee in 2012 and Prince William and Catherine Middleton’s royal wedding. Lisa was later promoted to sole anchor of CTV National News.
