The Incredible Hulk star Lou Ferrigno will work as a sheriff’s deputy in New Mexico. He will be sworn in as a deputy by Socorro County Sheriff William Armijo in a special ceremony the following week.
Lou is a former elite bodybuilder and American actor. He competed in bodybuilding, won the IFBB Mr. America and Mr. Universe titles twice in a row, and participated in the documentary Pumping Iron.
He is most recognized as an actor for playing the title character in the CBS tv series The Incredible Hulk. He vocally reprised the part in later animated and computer-generated iterations.

He was sworn in as a reserve deputy for the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Department in California in June 2012. The retired bodybuilder finished his level I law enforcement academy there, completing his education to become a fully qualified peace officer.
Lou was sworn in as a special deputy with the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office in Ohio in September 2013. He was added to President Donald Trump’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition in May 2018.
