Wincey Willis is a radio presenter and TV personality who is famous for her appearance in the English kid show Treasure Hunt during the late 1980s.

He was provided with a video of Willis giving a weather report, and he hired her immediately. She was more well-known for what went wrong on her show than for her polished presentation, he observed at the time, and nobody cared about the weather anyhow.

She discovered that depending on how long previous interviews and items had lasted; she was given anywhere between 15 seconds and three minutes to fill her weather slot immediately preceding the half-hourly news bulletins. Popular with the audience and her coworkers, her role grew as more features and gimmicks were added.

She lived in the Barnard Castle area and pursued her second interest of rescuing and rehoming various domestic and wild animals. She formerly kept a menagerie of nearly 100 different animals, a topic on which she would ultimately write a book.
