Mayor London Breed appointed Brooke Jenkins as the new serving district attorney of San Francisco. She is expected to swear on Friday as it will be the office’s last day of Chesa Boudin.
Jenkins supported the recall of Boudin and spoke in TV advertisements before the recall vote, claiming that Boudin fostered an environment in which prosecutors felt pressured to offer lenient plea agreements.

She started her career as Summer Associate in Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP. Later she switched to King and Spalding in 2006 as an associate. She worked in the firm for over three years and switched to NCAA. She got appointed as Assistant Director of Enforcement in the firm.
After working just for a year in NCAA, she joined as an Associate in Bowman and Brooke. She served the firm from August 2010 to February 2014. After that, she was assigned to Assistant District Attorney in the San Francisco DA office. Jenkins was a prosecutor in the Homicide Unit.
