Hariprasad Swamiji (born May 23, 1934 – died July 27, 2021) was a preacher of India, who is mainly famous for being the founder of Haridham Sokhda and the head of Yogi Divine Society. Unfortunately, the sad news of his death came on the night of July 27, 2021.
Reportedly, he was 87 years old and underwent the treatment of a kidney ailment. Although he took his last breath in a private hospital of Vadodra. His dead body was taken to the Sokhda at 11 am.
According to the reports he was ill for a long time. As the news of his death reached devotees not only of Gujarat but all over the world mourned the loss of their guru.
There was also some news that his mortal remains will be kept for four days at the Swaminarayan temple premises in Sokhda especially for his followers and devotees to pay their respects and tribute. The last rites will be performed on August 1, according to the traditional Hindu religion.

Hariprasad Swamiji Wikipedia:- The Indian preacher was born May 23, 1934. His age was 87 years old. Swamiji spent almost 56 years as a monk. He started all this in 1965, at the age of 31. Swamiji’s birth took place in a very small village names Asoj in the Salvi district, near the Vaakal region, Vadodara.
As per his zodiac sign Virgo, he was named Prabhudas, which means a devotee of God. He did his basic studies in Asoj and later moved to the place of his sister’s husband in Anand, Gujrat, where he completed his further studies in Matriculation at Sharda-Mandir School. After that, he became a student of lnter-Science at N.V. Science College, Vallabh-Vidyanagar.
Along with his studies, he also used to perform religious activities in temples, every evening he used to go to Hanuman Ji’s temple to perform Pradakshina. In fact, he studied the Hindu holy book, Bhagwat Gita, 24 times, written by 24 different authors.

Hariprasad Ji Maharaj was born to a family, who followed Vaishnava tradition for ages. His parents’ names were Gopaldas (father) and Kashiba (mother). His mother used to lead a deeply religious and devout life. He had a sister, whose name is not revealed.
According to the people of Asoj village, he is the blessing of Brahm Swaroop Shastriji Maharaj, who bestowed on this village a few years back and claimed that he will return here with a divine soul who will sanctify this village into a holy place of pilgrimage.
Hariprasad Swamiji’s Religious Journey
After completing his education, in 1953 A.D he came in union with Yogiji Maharaj for the very first time in Revandas’s Khadaki. Since then he believed Yogiji Maharaj his Guru. For a long time, he learned lessons from Maharaj, and later in1955 A.D. Swamiji was officially initiated by Yogiji Maharaj into the sect.
Hariprasad Ji used to live with his guru and performed various several services like cleaning cloths, utensils, serving food to devotees, sweeping the temple, massaging, etc.
By the time he gained so much knowledge that he also looked after 18 different departments of the temple. In fact, Swamiji served as the personal secretary of Yogiji Maharaj from the year 1961 to 1965.

Finally, Maharaj aka Bapa initiated Swamiji into sainthood with proper rituals and named him “Sadhu Hariprasaddas”. Although he continued to follow his path and gained huge respect. he also founded Atmiya Samaj.
