Don Maralit Salubayba Died Of An Aneurysm Causing Stroke And A Coma

Salubayba lost his life to a burst aneurysm, causing a stroke, and he got induced into a coma; our deepest condolence goes to the visual artist’s family.

Atherosclerosis and high blood pressure often cause aneurysms while resulting in a bulge in a blood vessel due to weakness in the blood vessel wall, usually where it branches.

Although the reason behind his demise got disclosed, what caused the rupture of his aneurysm has remained a mystery. However, high blood pressure, infection/deep wounds, or weakness in one artery’s walls might be one reason behind the ballooning in the wall of a blood vessel.

Furthermore, he was known and loved by many worldwide for his arts, and Don’s works paved the way for exhibitions and residencies in Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, and the US. Thus, he will remain in the thoughts and memories of his fans and admirers forever.

Meet Don Maralit Salubayba’s Family Members

Don left behind his wifeOJ and two children, Amaya and Elias, and knocked on the heavens door before he could witness his kids grow into amazing adults.

However, very little intel about his loved ones is available on the internet as they have maintained a low profile and chosen to live their lives without exposing themselves to the public.

Salubaybas seem to prefer living a private life, which is understandable, and we respect their privacy; we hope they have moved on and are living happy lives. Moreover, Amaya and Elias might have inherited their father’s love and talent for art and will carry his legacy in the future; we wish nothing but the best for the family.

Is Don Maralit Salubayba’s Death Connected To PHSA Abuse Case?

Speculation relating to Dons’ death having a connection with the PSHA abuse has gotten raised as he was also an alma mater of The Philippine High School for the Arts.

Former high school students, includingJerom Canlas and Amihan Ruiz, have shared their experiences with mental, verbal, and emotional abuse they suffered while studying at PSHA.

Furthermore, other issues relating to misconduct, harassment, manipulations, and gaslighting are also common in different majors. And when students complained, it got swept under the rug, so many got scared to come forward.

Maybe Don was also a victim of the abuse when he attended school, hoping to have a better career, which he did. However, only the artist knows the fact, but he is no more, so we are unsure if he had any connection to the PHSA abuse or not.
