The first gunfire of Tuesday night was reported near Jules-Poitras and Deguire Boulevards, a short distance from Roman-Zytynsky Park in the St-Laurent neighborhood, at about 9:45 p.m. According to two police sources, the 64-year-old victim is André Lemieux, father of professional boxer David Lemieux. The athlete’s management also confirmed the identity of the fighter.
Mohamed Salah Belhaj, 48, a mental health interventionist at the Albert-Prévost Mental Health Hospital on Gouin West Boulevard, has been named the second victim.
