Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund is the new owner of World Wrestling Entertainment Inc (WWE).

How much did the Public Investment Fund pay for WWE? It is currently not known how much the Saudi Arabian fund paid for WWE but it is expected that billions of dollars went into this deal considering that the Public Investment Fund parted with $2 billion to set up LIV Golf to compete with the longstanding PGA Tour.

The Public Investment Fund has assets over $600 billion and have had an interest in sports lately. The fund purchased Newcastle United Football Club and runs LIV Golf which has seen remarkable success after its launch.

Vince McMahon, former CEO of WWE returned to WWE prior to the sales and it is currently not known what his latest position would be.
