American professional basketball player Michael Peter Muscala, who plays for the Boston Celtics in the National Basketball Association, was born on July 1, 1991. (NBA).
Muscala was chosen by the Dallas Mavericks on June 27, 2013, as the 44th overall choice in the NBA draft. On draft night, he was then traded to the Atlanta Hawks, with whom he later played in the 2013 NBA Summer League.
Muscala agreed to a one-year contract with Liga ACB team Ro Natura Monb’s Obradoiro on August 1, 2013.
He parted relations with Obradoiro on February 25, 2014, and went back to the US. He played in 20 games for the team, scoring 14.6 points, grabbing 7.8 rebounds, and dishing out 1.1 assists per game.
Muscala and the Atlanta Hawks agreed to a multi-year contract on February 27, 2014. On March 2, he played in his first game for the Hawks, a defeat to the Phoenix Suns, compiling four points and five rebounds. In the team’s 111-103 victories over the Milwaukee Bucks in the regular season’s final game on April 16, Muscala scored a season-high 15 points.
Muscala rejoined the Hawks in time for the NBA Summer League in July 2014. He was frequently assigned to the NBA Development League’s Fort Wayne Mad Ants during the 2014–15 season. In a loss against the Charlotte Hornets on March 28, 2015, he had a season-high game with 18 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal, and 2 blocks.
