Nat, a proud native of Western Australia, was raised in Lake Grace, 345 kilometers to the southeast of Perth, in the center of the Wheatbelt.
After moving to Perth, Fyfe boarded at Aquinas College and played for Claremont in 2009, making his WAFL Colts debut.
After an outstanding campaign that included a six-goal performance in the Grand Final, the Fremantle Dockers selected him with the 20th overall pick in the 2009 AFL Draft.
