Norman Powell, a professional basketball player from the United States, was born on May 25, 1993 in San Diego, California.
Powell was conceived by Norman Powell Sr. and Sharon Powell. His two sisters, Margaret Powell and Joniece Powell, also have the same parents.
Powell decided to enroll at Lincoln High, a school that had recently undergone reconstruction and had lost a lot of athletes. He helped the team’s basketball program get back on track, and in 2009 and 2010, he guided them to back-to-back CIF San Diego Section 2A titles.
The team defeated Mountain View St. Francis 74-59 while also capturing the 2010 CIF Division II Boys’ State Championship, with Powell contributing 24 points to the victory.
